Aplikasi (application) Video Player Linux


1.  xine 
     xine is a free multimedia player. It plays back CDs, DVDs, and VCDs. It also decodes multimedia files like AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP3 from local disk drives, and displays multimedia streamed over the Internet. It interprets many of the most common multimedia formats available – and some of the most uncommon formats, too.


2.  Mplayer 
     MPlayer is a movie player which runs on many systems (see the documentation). It plays most MPEG/VOB, AVI, Ogg/OGM, VIVO, ASF/WMA/WMV, QT/MOV/MP4, RealMedia, Matroska, NUT, NuppelVideo, FLI, YUV4MPEG, FILM, RoQ, PVA files, supported by many native, XAnim, and Win32 DLL codecs. You can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, DivX 3/4/5, WMV and even H.264 movies.   

    VideoLAN, the media player that fulfills all your needs. It handles DVDs, (S)VCDs, Audio CDs, web streams, TV cards and much more. With VLC, there is no need to continually update many different codec packs. VLC comes with nearly every codec built in! And whats more, VLC can play back your files, even if the media is damaged! Missing or broken pieces wont stop VLC. All the video and audio information that remains can be played. 

     AVI Player for XMMS 1.2.3 is video software developed by Crocodile. The AVI player is a plug-in for XMMS, giving it the ability to play Windows AVI (including DivX ;-)) and ASF files on your Linux or FreeBSD box.

     Project for the development and documentation of open-source components of Nullsoft's Wasabi cross-platform skinnable toolkit, foundation of the next-generation Winamp. Includes development of improved components of Winamp3 itself, as well as application 

6.  Noatun
     Noatun, the super-modular media player for KDE. Noatun features audio effects, a variable-band graphic equalizer, a full plugin architecture, network transparency, and several KDE (and not so KDE) look and feels!

     KPlayer is a KDE multimedia player. With KPlayer you can easily play a wide variety of video and audio files and streams using a rich and friendly interface that follows KDE standards. 

8.  XMovie
     XMovie was originally written as a simple and quick to play uncompressed movies with stereo sound back when the only uncompressed movie player xanim and is the only MPEG player.

     Kaboodle is a light, embedded media player, supporting both video and audio, for KDE. It uses the aRts framework for playing media files. 

10. XMBC
      XBMC Media Center is a free cross-platform media player software. XBMC is capable of playing back and streaming all popular video, audio, and picture formats out-of-the-box. 

      Avifile, player for various AVI, ASF, WFM (with streaming support) files. Separate local installation of Windows DLL codecs might be needed for the better usage of this player. See README.debian for more information.

12. Totem  
      Totem is a simple yet featureful media player for GNOME which can read a large number of file formats.

13. xmps  
     XMPS is a media player for Gnome. It is intended to be a very simple interface for listening to music streams, or watching videos. 

      FFmpeg. The project is made of several components: ffplay is a simple media player based on SDL and the FFmpeg libraries.
